Notes:
- Property tax rates are for 2010, payable in 2011.
- For property tax purposes, the City of Sycamore is divided among Cortland, DeKalb and Sycamore Townships.
- Property tax rates are based on 33.3% of market value and rate per $100 of assessed value.
- Utility taxes are based on percentages of net utility charges; there is also a state levied 7% utility tax.
- Sales tax rate = 5% state + 1% municipality + 0.25% county; The City of DeKalb and the City of Sycamore also has an additional 1.75% home rule tax plus a 2% tax in Restaurant and Bar & Hotel-Motel for a total of 10%. The Village of Cortland also has a 1% non-home rule tax.
- Maple Park rates reflect portion of Maple Park which is within DeKalb County.
